The World Denim Fabric Trade Report, published by the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (İTHİB), once again highlighted Türkiye’s strategic position in the sector. According to the report, Türkiye has secured the top spot as the European Union’s leading denim fabric supplier. While global denim fabric exports reached USD 4 billion in 2024, Türkiye consolidated its position as the world’s fourth-largest exporter with an export performance of USD 291 million.
With the largest production capacity in the region, Türkiye distinguishes itself from competitors not only in fabric production but also thanks to its fully integrated production processes—spanning dyeing, printing, auxiliary industries, and ready-to-wear manufacturing.
In the global market, Türkiye stands out particularly for its leadership in the EU. In 2024, Türkiye single-handedly supplied 25.4% of the EU’s denim fabric imports, leaving its closest competitors far behind. This achievement is one of the clearest indicators of Türkiye’s commitment to value-added and high-quality production.
Beyond denim fabric, Türkiye is also one of the world’s most important players in denim apparel. With USD 3.5 billion in denim garment exports in 2024, Türkiye ranked as the fourth-largest exporter worldwide and the second-largest supplier to the EU market
